Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing is required.
• BSN preferred; Nursing Diploma programs accepted.
• RN license in state or compact state required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI within facility policy.
• TNCC preferred or required within time frame.

Responsibilities

• Performs triage and prioritizes patient care based on acuity
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures in the ED
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets cardiac rhythms
• Documents care, treatment, assessments, and education in EMR
• Applies infection control and sterile technique practices
• Educates patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team for care
• Responds calmly in high-stress, life-threatening situations
