Job summary

St. Mary-Corwin in Pueblo, CO is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor to coordinate and direct safe patient care and throughput across the hospital, linking the emergency department, patient registration, Licensed Independent Practitioners, and nursing units.

You will serve as the clinical resource for care processes, lead codes and emergency management, and support department and hospital executives in their absence.

Qualifications

• RN with strong clinical leadership and communication skills.
• Two years of RN experience required.
• BSN within two years of hire and current Colorado RN license.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Physically makes rounds on units during shift and assists with patient care as needed.
• Manages clinical aspects of patient transfer, determines stability and transfer needs, and ensures coverage.
• Responds to STAT calls and inhouse emergency codes.
• Directs and coordinates Code Blue and RRT in absence of physician.
• Collaborates with staffing coordinators and leaders to ensure adequate nursing staffing.
• Facilitates development of processes and standards to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains high skill level through ongoing education and meetings.
