Job summary

Penrose - St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs seeks a House Supervisor to coordinate safe, efficient patient care and throughput. You will serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership across units during shifts and emergencies.

The role requires active RN licensure in CO/Kansas, 2 years RN experience, and leadership skills. The schedule is 05:30–18:00 with weekends and select holidays, in a full-time hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Two years clinical RN experience required.
• 1-year clinical leadership experience, preferred.
• BSN required within 2 years of hire.
• MSN preferred.
• RN License to practice in Colorado or Kansas as applicable.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• PALS or ENPC required upon hire or within three months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical resource person in delivery and supervision of direct and indirect care processes.
• Provide competent leadership and direction for all hospital Codes and emergency management.

Join our team as a House Supervisor. The House Supervisor is responsible for coordination and direction of safe and efficient patient care and throughput in the hospital by providing a communication link with ED, patient registration, LIPs and nursing units. As a House Supervisor you will:

• Serve as clinical resource person in delivery and supervision of direct and indirect care processes.


• Provide competent leadership and direction for all hospital Codes and emergency management.


• Act as agent for department and hospital executives when they are not present and reports concerns and events to the designated administrator on call.

The schedule for this position is 0530-1800, rotating weekends and select Holidays.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• Two years clinical RN experience required


• 1-year clinical leadership experience, preferred


• BSN required within 2 years of hire


• MSN preferred


• RN License to practice in Colorado or Kansas as applicable

Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
