Job summary

Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana in Shreveport, LA seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide administrative and clinical support that facilitates patient care according to the nursing process.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing, a BSN for magnet facilities, at least 3 years RN experience (critical care or charge nurse preferred), current RN license, and BLS; ACLS/CCRN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN required for all Ochsner Magnet Facilities.
• RN license in state of practice.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• ACLS and CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource to the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Rounds frequently throughout the shift identifying issues that need administrative action and communication forward to appropriate level.
• Supervises and leads staff effectively.
• Provides care based on patient ages and needs.
• Ensures compliance with safety, privacy, and regulatory standards.
