Job summary

MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA seeks an RN House Supervisor to act as in-house administrator for the hospital-based team, guiding policy adherence and operational efficiency throughout the facility.

The role emphasizes leadership, coordination with the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative environment that supports professional development and open communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; 15+ years experience may be considered in lieu of education for internal candidates.
• Advanced nursing degree (MSN/PhD/DNP/ARNP) preferred.
• Current RN license in Washington State or MLS endorsement.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification or must obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Five years of recent clinical experience in a tertiary acute care setting.
• Experience in a leadership or supervisory role; three years management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating.
• Apply critical thinking to patient care decisions using standards, resources, and data.
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process per hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and health-care team members.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.
