The Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Louisiana is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, holistic cardiology care under physician supervision.

You will perform assessments, stress testing, EKG monitoring, and administer medications while coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Skilled in IV therapy, EKG interpretation, and emergency response.
• Preferred: advanced certification in cardiology/cardiovascular nursing and two years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care, including assessments, stress testing, EKG monitoring, and medication administration.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team during daily rounds to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document clinical findings, progress notes, and patient information accurately in the EMR/EHR.
• Educate patients and families, advocating for their needs and respecting their values.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and community wellness efforts.
