Job summary

A Hiring Company is seeking an Inpatient RN to provide skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients at our inpatient center in Maysville, Kentucky. The RN plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care through systematic assessment of health needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current multi-state licensure, or eligibility to be licensed in Kentucky or Ohio.
• Minimum one year of experience in patient care in hospital, nursing home, or related health care facility preferred.
• Strong empathy, responsibility and dependability; effective communication with team, patients, providers, and families.
• Must be able to work independently and demonstrate leadership and teaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan of care using clinical tools and data.
• Create, implement and update individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and caregivers on benefits, services and resources.
• Document complex medical information to improve outcomes.
• Follow quality care processes per regulatory guidelines and company procedures.
• Maintain strong written and verbal communication with patients, physicians and stakeholders.
• Work three full-time night shifts, 7:00 pm–7:00 am, including weekends.

The Inpatient RN provides skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients at our inpatient center in Maysville, Kentucky. The Inpatient RN plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care through systematic assessment of health needs. Duties include:

• Use clinical tools, data and other information to complete assessments of patient needs
• Creates, implements and updates individualized plan of care
• Educate patients and caregivers on benefits, services and other resources
• Document complex medical information to outline and improve results
• Follow quality care processes in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with patients, physicians and other stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to patient and family needs in a timely manner
• Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
• Experience in establishing professional and collaborative relationships with patients, families and providers
• Full-time night shift, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, three shifts per week, including weekends

Requirements

PROFESSIONAL: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current multi-state licensure, or eligibility to be licensed, in Kentucky or Ohio. At least one year of experience in a patient care position in a hospital, nursing home, or related health care facility preferred.

PERSONAL: Personal qualities of empathy, responsibility and dependability. Must demonstrate effective communication skills with team members, patients, providers, and family members. Must have ability to work independent of direct on-site supervision. Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability. Must carry state minimum in automobile liability insurance.
