Job summary

Hospice of Northwest Ohio is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the night shift in Perrysburg, OH. The role involves delivering high-quality hospice care on a three 12-hour shift schedule from 7:00 p.m.

to 7:30 a.m., with emphasis on patient comfort, symptom management, and family education. Requirements include an active Ohio RN license, BSN preferred, and 1–2 years of clinical experience (acute setting preferred).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active RN license in Ohio.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience; 1 year in acute setting preferred.
• Experience charting in an EMR system (Netsmart preferred).
• Demonstrates clinical expertise related to death/dying, pain management, and patient education.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and team; able to work independently and in interprofessional teams.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• CPR certification required per AHA standards.
• Hospice philosophy and palliative care concepts understood.

Qualification Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing; BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed as an RN through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience, with 1 year of experience in an acute setting preferred.
• Has working experience charting in an EMR system, Netsmart system preferred.
• Possesses clinical expertise related to critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Possesses the ability to provide basic and skilled nursing care, set priorities of care, and appropriately assess limits of intervention.
• Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding care issues.

• Demonstrates strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Must be CPR certified according to the American Heart Association CPR standards.
• Understands the hospice philosophy, principles of death/dying, concepts of pain/symptom management, and adult teaching/learning principles
