Job summary

Hospice of The Bluegrass, Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate and skilled nursing care in the inpatient hospice unit and hospital settings.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, with focus on symptom management, end-of-life support, and family education. The role requires an accredited nursing degree and KY RN licensure, with preferred two years of general nursing experience in hospice, home health, or critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of two years of general nursing experience preferred; hospice, home health, medical‑surgical, or critical care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in pain management; IV therapy skills preferred.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently while exercising appropriate judgment.

Schedule: May be Saturday-Sunday, 2 shifts, 7:00am-7:00pm, alternating weekends and holidays

Position Summary:

The Inpatient Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled, professional, and compassionate nursing care to patients and their families within the inpatient hospice unit and hospital settings. The RN delivers care in accordance with physician orders, the hospice plan of care, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. This role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, including symptom management, end-of-life support, and patient/family education.

Position Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional (registered) nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of two (2) years of general nursing experience preferred; hospice, home health, medical‑surgical, or critical care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in pain management; IV therapy skills preferred.
• Demonstrates clinical competence and the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations with patients and families while respecting diverse lifestyles and beliefs.
• Maintains current CPR certification
