Job summary

Hospice of the West is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Clinical Director in Tucson. You will lead an interdisciplinary team, oversee patient care in line with policies, and collaborate with program leadership to grow patient access.

The role requires 3+ years nursing experience with 1 year in hospice/home health/oncology and supervisory duties, plus EMR proficiency and CPR if needed. Excellent leadership and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
RN with a current state license to practice in the state of office.
Minimum 3 years as a nurse, incl. 1 year direct patient care in hospice/home health/oncology, and 1 year supervisory experience.
Ability to manage terminal care with crisis intervention, pain and symptom control, and family counseling.
Demonstrated staff support and clinical leadership abilities.
Computer proficiency including EMR experience.
CPR certification if required by state.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Champion comprehensive patient support and coordinate services per hospice policies.
Provide guidance and support to an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
Conduct chart audits and ensure regulatory and ethical compliance.
Participate in orientation and ongoing training for nursing staff.
Evaluate clinical staff performance and provide coaching.
Lead team meetings to refine care plans and share insights.
