Job summary

Hospice of Dubuque is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team in delivering patient-centered care. The role includes assessing patient and family needs across settings, contributing to care plans, case management, direct patient care, and night/weekend on-call rotations.

We offer a 4-day workweek, orientation and mentoring, and a supportive environment that fosters professional growth. This RN role requires minimum one year nursing experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with minimum one year of nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed in Iowa; willingness to obtain Illinois/Wisconsin licenses if needed.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team.
• Assesses the needs of patients and families in a variety of settings and situations.
• Participates in the development of each patient’s plan of care.
• Performs case management and direct patient care.
• Participates in a night and weekend on-call rotation.

The Hospice Nurse:

• functions as a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team,
• assesses the needs of patients and families in a variety of settings and situations,
• participates in the development of each patient’s plan of care,
• performs case management and direct patient care, and
• participates in a night and weekend on-call rotation.

Candidates should possess compassion, sensitivity, and dedication, as well as strong problem- solving skills and the ability to work autonomously. RN with minimum one year of nursing experience required. BSN preferred. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
