Job summary

Amedisys Home Health in the United States is seeking a registered nurse to join our full-time day shifts, delivering compassionate in-home care to patients where they are most comfortable. As an RN, you will perform admissions assessments, coordinate care plans, document progress, educate families, and collaborate with the care team.

Eligible for competitive pay ($85,000–$90,000), comprehensive medical plans, PTO, retirement benefits, and generous family supports.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state(s) where you will be assigned.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
• One year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates possible.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial nursing assessment on new admissions.
• Completes, coordinates, and revises the plan of care with care team.
• Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager, physician, and care team.
• Develops, prepares, and maintains individualized patient care progress records with accuracy, timeliness and according to care center policies.
• Records pain/symptom management changes/outcomes as appropriate.
• Educates families on patient condition, needs and care.
• Makes referrals to other hospice care disciplines as needed, or documents rationale for not doing so.
• Performs on-call responsibilities and on-call services to patients/families as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• One year of nursing experience preferred. If less than one year of nursing experience, you can be considered for the RN new graduate program.
