Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Northern VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to support g-tube, trach, and ventilator pediatric and/or adult patients in school or home settings. The nurse should be flexible for weekly travel, with day and night shifts available.

Pay ranges from $50-54 per hour for day shifts and $60 per hour for night shifts. Maxim offers health/dental/vision, HSA and life insurance, PTO, 401(k), and the Maxcares awards program.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility RN contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests revisions as patient status changes.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes and reports changes in patient condition to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and protocols, identifies education and discharge planning needs.

We are seeking a candidate flexible to travel to various locations throughout the week. Day and night shifts available.

Pay

$50-54 / hour (Day Shifts) & $60 / hour (Night Shifts)

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements
