Job summary

IntelliResume is seeking a Homecare Float RN for Weekender Flex to provide direct nursing care in patients’ homes. The role supports patients across diverse needs with a focus on safety, quality, and compassionate care.

You will monitor care quality, participate in improvement projects, and coordinate multi‑discipline care while maintaining accurate documentation and timely assessments. This is a full‑time, weekend‑heavy schedule based in Independence, OH near Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• 1+ year of current RN experience.
• Experience in acute medical–surgical or home care setting.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and automobile insurance upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and protocols.
• Monitor quality via chart audits and supervisory visits.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and committees.
• Supervise starts of care, resumptions of care, and routine visits.
• Perform admission assessments and periodic reassessments.
• Assess safety risks, abuse, and neglect; document appropriately.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care with the team.
• Assess and document pain using standard pain scales and manage pain.
• Maintain up‑to‑date patient documentation; escalate changes to physician.

About This Role

As a Homecare Float RN – Weekender Flex, you will provide direct nursing care across a variety of needs, supporting patients in their homes. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a flexible environment and are passionate about delivering patient‑first healthcare.

Highlights

• Pay: $33.50 - $53.60/hour
• Location: Independence, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital
• Schedule: Full‑time, Weekender Flex (every weekend and 1 weekday per week from 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM)

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Monitor quality through chart audits and supervisory visits.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and departmental committees as assigned.
• Supervise starts of care, resumptions of care, and routine visits as requested.
• Perform accurate and complete admission assessments and reassessments within specified time frames.
• Assess patients for safety risks, abuse, and neglect.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
• Assess and document patients’ pain using pain scales and manage patients’ pain.
• Maintain complete and up‑to‑date documentation regarding patient condition and effectiveness of care.
• Escalate changes in patient condition to the patient’s physician as appropriate.

Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program)

Experience

• 1+ years of current clinical experience as an RN
• 1+ year of experience in an acute medical‑surgical or home care setting

Licenses & Certifications

• Current licensure as an RN in the State of Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License upon hire
• Proof of automobile insurance coverage with $100,000/$300,000 coverage upon hire
