Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3 South unit, a 32-bed med-surg specialty serving adult and geriatric patients. The role supports pneumonia, diabetes, sepsis and post‑operative care while utilizing advanced technology.

Schedule includes two 12-hour weekend shifts and one 12-hour weekday shift, averaging 36 hours weekly with benefits. Minimum qualifications include RN licensure, BLS, and acute-care experience.

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Medina Hospital, a 148‑bed community‑based facility with a long history of high‑quality patient care and a commitment to technological advancement. In this role, you will work within the 3 South nursing unit, a 32‑bed general medical‑surgical unit that serves adult and geriatric patients. The unit handles a variety of conditions such as pneumonia, diabetes, sepsis, GI bleed, cellulitis, COPD exacerbations, cancers, kidney stones, bowel obstructions, and post‑operative care for hysterectomies, thyroidectomies, colon resections and appendectomies.

Schedule

This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program. The schedule requires two 12‑hour weekend shifts and one 12‑hour weekday shift (average of 36 hours worked per week). Cleveland Clinic compensates for 44 hours of work and offers full‑time status with benefits. Weekend shifts start at 7:00 p.m. on Fridays and end at 7:30 a.m. on Mondays.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA or American Red Cross.
• One year of current acute‑care RN experience or military RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements

• Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients.
• Manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions with irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium work: exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly when moving objects.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50
Maximum hourly: $55.60
Actual compensation is determined after considering work history, experience, skill set, education, shift differentials, overtime, and benefit package value.
