Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse to work with pediatric and/or adult patients in their own homes in Patrick Springs, VA.

The position offers hourly pay from $36 to $45, with competitive benefits and weekly paychecks. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, planning and evaluating care, initiating and adjusting care plans, administering medications, and documenting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• PPD or Chest X-Ray current.
• Current BLS card.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Initiates care plan and revises as patient status changes.
• Performs therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and notifies physician or supervisor.
• Administers meds and treatments; documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plan and coordinates education, discharge planning and care needs.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required


• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change


• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals


• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor


• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention


• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.


• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).


• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.


• Current BLS card.


• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
