Job summary

Abbott is seeking a per-diem RN trainer for remote assignments across specified US locations, focused on home testing training for finger stick sampling and PT/INR device use.

You will set up training, travel to patient homes, and document records while maintaining PHI security and using encrypted communication. A Registered Nurse with clinical experience and travel readiness is required.

Qualifications

• The Trainer must have clinical experience and be a Registered Nurse.
• Direct exposure to anticoagulation or homecare is preferred.
• Health education training experience is a definite plus.
• No lifting over 15 pounds required without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Remotely set up training appointment with customer/caregiver.
• Travel to customers' home within general geographic area of the Trainer’s home.
• Demonstrate and instruct on proper use and care of PT/INR equipment.
• Explain test reporting options.
• Communicate and present themselves in a professional manner.
• Accurately document and submit patient training records electronically.
• Maintain communications with Acelis Connected Health by phone, email and internet access.
• Utilize secure encrypted email to communicate PHI.
