Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Registered Nurse Trainer to provide face-to-face patient education for home testing customers in a per-diem role. You will train on finger-stick sampling, PT/INR device use, and reporting, traveling to patient homes within your geographic area.

The position requires current RN licensure, clinical experience, and willingness to travel. Proficiency with computers and secure communications is essential. Background checks and health screenings are part of the process.

Qualifications

• The Trainer must have clinical experience.
• Current Registered Nurse.
• Direct experience/exposure to anticoagulation management or homecare is preferred.
• Health education training experience is a definite plus.
• No lifting over 15 pounds required without assistance.
• Proof of health screening documentation.
• Web based and interactive training provided by Acelis Connected Health.
• Successful completion of a consumer report and pre-employment drug screening.
• Own a computer/laptop to complete company requirements if needed.

Responsibilities

• Remotely set up training appointments with the customer/caregiver.
• Travel to the customer's home within the trainer's general geography.
• Demonstrate and instruct on proper use of the PT/INR equipment.
• Explain test reporting options.
• Document and submit patient training records electronically.
• Maintain communications with Acelis Connected Health via email/phone.
• Handle PHI securely via encrypted communications.
• Travel a minimum of 100 miles roundtrip.
