Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse, Home Health, for a 13-week contract in Brunswick, Maine. The day shift runs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities include managing PICC lines, Portacath, wound vacs, ostomy and G/J tube care, and overall chronic disease management, with documentation in the Epic EMR. Applicants must have at least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience and an active RN license.

Qualifications

Regular schedule is day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekend requirements include 16 hours every 4th weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Home Health is responsible for managing a diverse caseload of home health patients, providing clinical care and education tailored to individual needs. Key responsibilities include the management of PICC lines, Portacath, wound vacs, Pleurx catheters, ostomy care, G and JG tube management, and chronic disease management, primarily utilizing the Epic electronic medical record system.

• Oversee wound vac therapy for appropriate patients.
• Manage Pleurx catheters and provide ostomy care and education.
• Teach and manage G and JG tube feeding protocols.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting is required.

Certifications/Licensure

Current RN license and certifications relevant to the specialty are required. Experience with specific procedures such as PICC management, wound vac therapy, and chronic disease education is essential.
