Job summary

Journey Healthcare in Greensburg, KY is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a focus on delivering high-quality, compassionate service to residents in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities, supporting a patient-centered care model.

Qualifications

• Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.
