Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking PRN Registered Nurses for Temple, TX, to join the Oncology/Hematology Telemetry unit at Memorial Hospital. The role focuses on caring for adults and geriatrics across a varied oncology spectrum, including chemotherapy administration and post-treatment monitoring.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Oncology/Hematology Telemetry unit.
• Administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies per protocol.
• Monitor and respond to patient status in a telemetry setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.

Why Oncology/Hematology?

This 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit Provides The Opportunity To Work With a Wide Variety Of Patients Ranging In Age From Adults To Geriatrics. The Conditions That Are Within The Scope Of Service For 8 North Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:

• Medical Oncology
• High Dose Chemotherapy with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant
• CAR T Cell Therapy
• Administration of Chemotherapy, Biotherapy, and Monoclonal Antibodies
• Surgical Oncology
• Gynecologic Oncology
• Administration of Radiation Therapy
• Hematologic Disorders (Sickle Cell Crisis, Aplastic Anemia, Thalassemia, Thrombocytopenia)
• Continuous Cardiac Monitoring (Telemetry)
