Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Stepdown unit.

The RN uses the nursing process to provide direct patient care, evaluate care effectiveness, and coordinate patient management with multiple departments while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. This full-time, day-shift role offers a 36-hour work week with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs, plus Mercy's comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid

Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license or compact license required.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Overview:

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Stepdown

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Day Shift | Full-Time | 36 hours/week

$20,000 Sign On Bonus for Experienced RN's!

Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
