Mercy Hospital South in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide surgical step-down care. You will apply the nursing process, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care across departments.

The role supports Mercy’s mission with strong emphasis on patient rights, confidentiality, and compassionate service. A 36-hour week schedule and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs reflect our commitment to excellence and team growth.

Competenze

• Must hold Missouri RN license or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred or may be required depending on unit.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Stepdown

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Day Shift | Full-Time | 36 hours/week

$20,000 Sign On Bonus for Experienced RN's!

Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
