Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Stepdown unit. The role uses the nursing process to provide patient care and collaborates with care teams to coordinate services while upholding patient rights.

The role requires Missouri RN licensure or compact licensure, BLS certification, and hospital experience is preferred. This full-time day-shift position includes a sign-on bonus and Mercy Service Standards guidance.

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Stepdown

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Day Shift | Full-Time | 36 hours/week

$20,000 Sign On Bonus for Experienced RN's!

Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
