Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for a PRN role. The nurse will provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinate treatment with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality within Mercy's service standards.

The position supports Mercy Behavioral Health Services’ therapeutic program for psychiatric illness and substance use disorders, offering opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to relapse

Qualifications

• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.

Mercy Behavioral Health Services provides a structured and therapeutic environment to individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders and substance use disorder. Here at Mercy our dedicated multi-disciplinary team promotes a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy and relapse prevention.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
