Job summary

Mercy Behavioral Health Services seeks a Behavioral Health RN (PRN) at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO. The RN uses the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care and coordinates treatment with other departments to ensure continuity.

Key duties include evaluating care effectiveness, upholding patient rights and confidentiality, and maintaining alignment with Mercy Service Standards and the mission.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN).
• Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Mercy Behavioral Health Services provides a structured and therapeutic environment to individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders and substance use disorder. Here at Mercy our dedicated multi-disciplinary team promotes a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy and relapse prevention.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
