Job summary

Mercy Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Behavioral Health RN - PRN at Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO. This role provides compassionate psychiatric nursing care within a structured therapeutic environment and coordinates with a multidisciplinary team.

You will utilize the nursing process to deliver care, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and ensure care aligns with Mercy Service Standards while supporting crisis evaluation, education, and relapse prevention.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Current RN license in MO or compact licensure where duties are performed.
• Certifications: BLS certification via AHA or within 30 days of hire.

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.

Mercy Behavioral Health Services provides a structured and therapeutic environment to individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders and substance use disorder. Here at Mercy our dedicated multi-disciplinary team promotes a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy and relapse prevention.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
