NKC Health is seeking an experienced RN to join the GI/endoscopy team. You will collaborate with RNs, GI techs, CNAs, and anesthesia to deliver high-quality perioperative care for inpatients and outpatients.
Responsibilities include assisting with GI procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and more, plus pre-/post-operative recovery with patient safety as a priority. Rotations and in-house education support career growth.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, GI techs, and CNAs, working seamlessly with anesthesia and GI services to deliver exceptional care. You'll play a vital role in ensuring top-tier care for both inpatient and outpatient populations.Assisting with advanced GI procedures such as EGD, colonoscopies, ERCP, EUS, manometry, Fibro Scan, PillCam, Bravo, and HALO. Additionally, you'll provide pre-operative and post-operative recovery care, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort. SUMMARY: Under the direction of the department director/supervisors/charge nurse, provides pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
One year medical/surgical experience required; critical care, PACU, or GI endoscopy experience strongly preferred.
Endoscopy, PACU, phlebotomy, and airway management preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Required: RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri, BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association) Preferred: CGRN (Certified Gastroenterology RN).
Required: Associates - Nursing, Preferred: Bachelors - Nursing.
