Job summary

LAKEVIEW SURGERY CENTER in Orlando is seeking a GI Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The role focuses on perioperative care for GI procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety from admission through discharge.

Candidates should have an active Florida RN license, 3+ years of experience, and BLS/ACLS; PALS may be required depending on ASC patient age. Strong communication and emergency response are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license required.

Responsibilities

The GI Registered Nurse (RN) is an essential member of the surgical team, focusing on the perioperative care of patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures. This role requires expertise in managing the operating room environment, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques, and providing comprehensive care that prioritizes patient safety and comfort. The GI RN collaborates with physicians, anesthesia personnel, and other healthcare professionals to deliver effective and efficient care, from the moment of admission through to discharge. This role demands strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Education/Training

• Registered Nurse for Three (3) plus years required
• Gastrointestinal procedure two (2) plus years' is desirable.

Licensure/Certification

• Registered Nurse (RN) License in Florida
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required based on ASC patient minimum age.

Experience

• Two (2) plus years of experience Multi-Specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center or Outpatient facility, preferred.
• Building strong relationships with Physicians.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
