Job summary

Deerfield is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join its outpatient clinic team serving residents of the Continuing Care Retirement Community in Asheville, NC. The Independent Living Community Nurse will provide emergency triage, wellness checks, and comprehensive clinic nursing care, including medications administration and wound care, with a focus on continuity of care.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the close-knit team in Deerfield's outpatient clinic. This is a Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm position serving residents of our beautiful continuing care retirement community.

As the Independent Living Community Nurse, you will:

• Provide emergency response and clinical triage to Independent Living residents, assessing needs and coordinating appropriate interventions and follow-up care.
• Promote continuity of care for Independent Living residents through wellness check-in calls, home visits, and ongoing monitoring of identified healthcare needs.
• Deliver clinic-based nursing care, including nursing assessments, individualized care plans, wound care, phlebotomy, medication administration, and preparation of resident pill boxes.
• Coordinate transition of care to and from hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

The ideal candidate for this role is a caring, proactive, self-motivated nurse who is passionate about working with older adults. Will need to demonstrate confidence in nursing assessment and triage skills, exercise sound clinical judgment, and be able to respond effectively to the changing needs of Independent Living residents.

Requirements:
