Deliver direct patient care utilizing advanced nursing techniques including IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, and aseptic procedures.
Conduct thorough patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, performing physical examinations, and evaluating physiological responses to treatment plans.
Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and medical documentation standards.
Manage complex clinical procedures such as ventilator management, tube feeding, dialysis, and wound care including ostomy care and suturing.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like PCC for precise documentation of patient care activities and medical records management.
Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and follow-up care to ensure seamless transitions across healthcare settings like hospitals, outpatient clinics, or home care environments.
Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas such as cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (botulinum toxin treatment), infectious disease care, trauma medicine (Level I & II trauma center experience), geriatrics (memory care & dementia), behavioral health, and hospice & palliative medicine.
Valid RN license with current state registration; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments including ICU, emergency room, hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities.
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like PCC; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care delivery.
Experience working with specialized populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory or dementia care is highly desirable.
Critical care experience including ventilator management or trauma medicine is advantageous; familiarity with laboratory testing procedures such as phlebotomy or specimen processing is a plus.
Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced settings like urgent care or trauma centers.
