Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is opening a dynamic 56-bed Medical/Surgical unit in October 2026. The RN will coordinate patient care, assess and plan care using the nursing process, and delegate tasks as needed to a collaborative care team.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, holds a current Texas RN license (or compact), and has BLS certification. Relocation assistance is available as part of our comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license with Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate and coordinate care with the health care team.
• Ensure documentation and records meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide patient assessments and implement nursing interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Participate in continuous learning and adherence to nursing practice acts.
