Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Day Care to provide professional and nursing care in accordance with physician orders.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a designated group of patients, develop and execute individualized plans of care, and provide education to patients and families as part of the care plan. This role includes discharge planning and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.
• Department-specific certifications may be required depending on patient care setting.
• Experience aligned with level I–IV prior to appointment.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
• Conducts and documents accurate clinical assessments.
• Develops and implements individualized patient care plans.
• Provides professional nursing care and patient-family education.
• Discharges planning and community resource referrals as needed.
• Supports staff development and precepting of new personnel.
