Job summary

Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah seeks a registered nurse for the Float Pool to provide preventative, supportive, and nursing care based on the nursing process and hospital policy. You will develop individualized care plans and coordinate care with the team.

You will float to Med/Surg, Behavioral Health, and Ortho Spine with opportunities to advance into Progressive Care/ICU, assess patient needs, document responses to interventions, and communicate plans to patients and families while

Qualifications

• Current State of Utah RN license or RN Compact license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• BLS (or BCLS) certification.
• Other department-specific certifications may be required.
• Completion of an accredited RN program.
• Must communicate clearly and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Float Pool to cover for ill calls, high census, or LOA coverage.
• Float to all units with completed competencies (Med/Surg, Behavioral Health, Ortho Spine) with growth opportunities.
• Assess, evaluate, and document patient responses to medications, interventions, and procedures.
• Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care based on patient needs.
• Maintain patient safety and document safety measures in the medical record.
• Collaborate with patient/family to implement care plans respecting developmental and cultural needs.
