Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care across facilities in Blue Earth, Mankato, and surrounding areas, MN. The role involves administering medications, monitoring patients, and coordinating with practitioners to ensure quality care.

The position requires an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and strong documentation skills. Travel may reach up to 100% as needed in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients in a timely and accurate manner.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Provide emergency first aid, monitor vital signs and conduct on-site testing as appropriate.
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call; record data for CQI and reports.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices; document care concisely and completely.
