Carilion Clinic is seeking a part-time RN for the Float Pool in Roanoke, Virginia. This role focuses on supporting patient care in the Transitional Care Unit by offering individualized nursing attention.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree, active Virginia RN licensure, and be able to collaborate effectively with a healthcare team. The role includes assessments, treatments, and being a patient advocate while utilizing electronic medical records for documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible for licensure.
• BLS certification required, with potential for ACLS, PALS based on unit.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and evaluate comprehensive care.
• Take active role in staff education and orientation of new employees.
