Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking a part-time LPN for the Outpatient Shenandoah Float Pool. You will provide practical nursing support in a physician practice or clinic, under the supervision of providers, across ages.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, exams prep, medication administration, EMR documentation, and coordination of tele-dermal/tele-retinal services. The role requires Virginia LPN licensure and BLS certification; prior clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing; eligible to sit for Virginia licensure.
• One year of experience in a physician office preferred.
• Current Virginia LPN licensure; radiology limited licensure if performing radiology; BLS-HCP certification.
• Customer driven with good verbal and written communication; proficient with EMR and keyboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients of all ages in a physician practice or clinic.
• Complete patient assessments including vital signs and current medications.
• Prepare patients for provider evaluation and assist during exams and procedures.
• Coordinate tele-retinal and tele-dermatology clinic setup.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
• Document patient information in the EMR in a timely manner and maintain records.
