A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Perioperative Float Pool at West Penn Hospital. The RN will provide care across various specialty areas, including the Operating Room and Cath Lab. The role requires a commitment to patient-centered care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The position offers a competitive additional allowance and a comprehensive benefits package.
West Penn Hospital’s Perioperative Float Pool consists of highly trained RN specialists capable of functioning across four specialty areas: ASC, GI Lab, PACU, and either OR or Cath Lab.
West Penn Hospital features 17 operating rooms and a Cystoscopy suite. It is the robotic hub of the health system, with a dedicated burn center and a bariatric center of excellence, performing diverse procedures including robotics, general surgery, bariatrics, women’s health, and oncology.
The GI Lab specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, averaging 25 adult patients daily. RNs are expected to perform pre-procedure assessments, circulate cases, and handle post-anesthesia recovery.
ASC (Pre-op) includes 10 bays, and PACU has 18 bays.
The Cath Lab at West Penn has a STEMI Program, with two procedural rooms performing approximately 800 procedures annually. RNs will work in pre-op, post-op, and procedural areas.
This position offers a $7/hour additional allowance on top of the base rate per West Penn CBA.
