An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a skilled RN to join its dynamic Periop Float Pool. West Penn Hospital’s Periop Float Pool consists of highly trained RN’s capable of functioning in four specialty areas: ASC, GI Lab, PACU, and either OR or Cath Lab.
West Penn Hospital’s OR has 17 operating rooms and one Cystoscopy suite. It is the robotic hub of the health system, featuring a dedicated burn center and a bariatric center of excellence, performing diverse procedures including robotics, general surgery, bariatrics, women’s health, and oncology.
The GI Lab at West Penn Hospital is a dynamic unit specializing in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, averaging 25 adult patients daily. RN responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, circulating cases, and post-anesthesia recovery.
ASC (Pre-op) is a 10-bay unit, and PACU is an 18-bay recovery area.
The Cath Lab at West Penn Hospital has a STEMI Program, with 2 procedural rooms conducting 800 procedures annually. RN duties span pre- and post-op areas and the procedural suite.
