About This Role

The RN Float Pool - PRN - Medical Surgical Telemetry position is ideal for experienced nurses seeking flexibility and variety in their work. This role supports staffing needs across multiple Cleveland Clinic facilities, providing exposure to diverse patient populations and care teams.

What You'll Do

• Provide general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through sound procedures and practices.
• Perform accurate and complete admission assessments within defined timeframes.
• Assess and document patients' pain levels, utilizing appropriate protocols.
• Prioritize and document patient problems based on assessed needs in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Monitor and document patient condition and effectiveness of care and interventions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to achieve planned outcomes.
• Delegate appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other nursing team members.
• Plan delivery of patient care in collaboration with other disciplines to promote wellness and facilitate discharge.

Requirements

Education:

• Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

• A minimum of four years of recent acute care experience in areas utilizing telemetry monitoring

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
