The ideal candidate will hold RN licensure, an Associate or Bachelor's degree, and ACLS/BLS or equivalent certifications within the specified timeframes. This role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, medication administration, and collaboration with the health care team to ensure quality care across units.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate accountability for clinical knowledge to affect patient outcomes within nursing scope.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and nursing skills following policies (confidentiality, etc.).
• Document effectively, succinctly and timely per policy.
• Manage time and prioritize for efficiency and productivity.
• Follow process for dispensing medications and narcotic control with clinical judgment.
• Delegate only tasks within others' training and policy guidelines.
• Resolve clinical problems and seek assistance when needed.
• Complete annual education requirements and other learning activities on time.
• Promote a culture of safety and patient advocacy.
• Educate patients and families from admission through discharge.
• Advance the professional nurse role through learning and systems thinking.
• Adhere to hospital/unit policies and other duties as assigned.
