LewisGale Hospital Pulaski in Virginia is seeking an RN for the Float Pool PRN to support patient care across units. You will be responsible for assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of care under supervision, applying strong clinical judgment and complying with confidentiality and safety policies.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, efficient time management, and adherence to medication administration protocols.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Current RN licensure and nursing practice credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care under supervision.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and nursing skills per policies.
• Document accurately and timely per organizational policy.
• Manage time effectively for efficiency and patient flow.
• Follow medication and narcotic control procedures with judgment.
• Delegate tasks appropriately based on training and policy.
• Resolve clinical issues professionally and seek assistance as needed.
• Complete annual education requirements and maintain safety standards.
• Educate patients and families from admission through discharge.
