Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool, 24 hours per week, on-site in Leominster, MA. This Day Shift role supports patient care across units and emphasizes nursing governance and quality improvement.

The RN will apply the nursing process from admission to discharge, perform assessments, coordinate care plans, and assist with medications and procedures as required. MA license and BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS is current; ACLS may satisfy the requirement.
• BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Documents patient care and develops/coordinates Education Plan for patient/family.
