Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Float for night shift to support patient care across units. You will assess, monitor, document, and administer medications, while providing education to patients and families.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, BLS, 2 years of bedside acute care experience, and ACLS within 6 months. BSN preferred. Excellent team collaboration and patient-centred care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
• 2 years of bedside nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
• ACLS preferred, required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor responses and document care in the chart.
• Provide timely, compassionate care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up steps.
