Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool on the Nights shift. This full‑time role requires providing high‑quality patient care across multiple units as part of a dedicated resource team.

Responsibilities include supporting diverse clinical areas, meeting patient care needs during night hours, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality outcomes. Eligible applicants are RN graduates with licensure and preferred 1 year experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• One year relevant experience preferred.
• If RN license inactive, a Board-approved refresher is required before reactivating license.

Responsibilities

• Float Pool RNs provide continuous quality patient care across multiple units.
• Act as a resource team assigned to varying units during shifts to meet patient care needs.
• There are three RN teams: Team 1 (ICCU), Team 2 (Inpatient Acute), Team 3 (Adult Intensive Care).

Education

High School Diploma or GED

4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current RN licensure in appropriate state

One year relevant experience (preferred)
