Job summary

Johns Hopkins Nursing is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate care on the Labor & Delivery unit at Sibley Memorial Hospital, with float responsibilities across FCCU, SCN, and L&D. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, collaboration, and adherence to care standards.

Responsibilities include directing team members, promoting quality and safety, and contributing to cost-effective resource use, while meeting annual competency requirements within Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• BSN preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse upon hire (Required).
• CPR - Basic CPR upon hire (Required).
• Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience required.
• Float between FCCU, SCN and L&D.
• 2 yrs of experience in 2 of the 3 WIS units preferred.

Unit/Role Info:

Labor & Delivery Unit (18 Labor beds, 8 triage beds and 3 ORs)

Float between FCCU, SCN and L&D

The Registered Nurse coordinates care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes. Provides direction to other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care. Provides evidence-based practice care based on the nursing process policy, procedures, and protocols. Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to optimize patient care outcomes. Participates and promotes quality clinical improvement by supporting standards within a given care setting. Practices and promotes responsible cost effective use of resources. Completes all identified annual requirements and competencies for the patient population, care setting, department, and institution. Participates in the performance appraisal process. Demonstrates organizations core values on a consistent basis.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in nursing (ADN) (Required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Preferred) and
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a Bachelor of Nursing program
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)

Salary Range: Minimum 57.90/hour - Maximum 57.90/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
