Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool on a PRN, mid-shift schedule. You will float across units, delivering direct patient care, documenting care plans, and contributing to high-quality outcomes.

The role requires an active NC or compact state RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within stated timelines, and 2–4 years of critical care experience. Join a team dedicated to compassionate, safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state RN license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• 2–4 years critical care experience preferred.
• Must possess critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate patient assessments and identify care needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on patient condition.
• Provide age-appropriate care and timely documentation of medical necessity.
• Develop and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Complete timely QI assessments.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams during float across units.
