Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking Registered Nurses to join our RN Float Pool on the night shift. You will provide patient care across Emergency Department, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units, working in a dynamic, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in Missouri or compact license (must meet state board requirements).
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as part of the RN Float Pool across multiple units.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Operate within established nursing practices and Mercy Service Standards.
• Participate in flexible, cross-functional teamwork to support care delivery.

Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Float Pool RNs rotate across the following units:

• Emergency Department
• ICU
• Cardiac Telemetry
• Medical-Surgical - (Adults)
• Medical-Surgical - (Adults & Peds)

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Licensure: Active RN license in Missouri or compact license (must meet state board requirements)
• Experience: 1+ year RN experience preferred
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required within 30 days of hire
  • Depending on assignment, may also require:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Physical Requirements:
  • Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting throughout shifts
