Baptist Health Floyd seeks an Internal Float Pool Registered Nurse for the Night shift (7pm-7am) in New Albany, IN. This full-time role covers various inpatient units as staffing needs arise, delivering direct nursing care from admission to discharge.

Ideal candidates have Indiana RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS (within 1 year). At least two years in acute hospital care and competency in PCU/Neuro are preferred, with competitive benefits offered.

Seeking Registered Nurse Baptist Health Floyd, Internal Agency Nursing Pool Full-Time (36 Hours Weekly), Nights (7pm-7am) Benefit Eligible

Job Duties: The Internal Float Pool Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Internal Float Pool Nurse will be able to provide intermediate level of care to patients in various inpatient units upon staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare provider required upon hire.
• ACLS for Healthcare provider required upon hire.
• NIHSS certification required upon hire.
• PALS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Minimum of two (2) years previous nursing experience required.
• Previous experience in intermediate level of care preferred.
• Nurses need a minimum of two years recent acute care nursing experience in the hospital setting.
• Nurses must be PCU and Neuro competent.
• Critical Care and Emergency Department experience is welcomed.

Employment Details

About the Department

The Internal Float Pool consists of seasoned, experienced nurses who can work on any inpatient unit that is in need of additional staffing. The Internal Float Pool reports to their specific Supervisor who provides guidance when issues present. The House Managers will allocate staff to the greatest need in the hospital.
