Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. This full-time role (36 hours weekly) covers nights from 7pm to 7am, with a sign-on bonus eligible for experienced external candidates.

The RN will provide direct, comprehensive care from admission to discharge as an on-shift team member, meeting the needs of patients, families, and coworkers in a 16-bed ICU that serves stroke, sepsis, shock states, and respiratory failure.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana license to practice as RN.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification within 12 months of hire.
• NIHSS stroke certification within 10 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct, comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge.
• Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet patients, families, and coworkers' needs.

Job Duties: In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit

The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU providing specialized care for a variety of critically ill patients, including those with: stroke; sepsis; shock states with or without multi-organ failure; and respiratory failure. New graduate RNs are welcome.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
• NIHSS Stroke Certification required (Obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
